Protected living quarters provide companionship, meals, and independence
Ohr Jerusalem maintains five apartments, housing 26 mentally handicapped men. The skills they acquire in group-living help them run their own lives with independence and self-discipline. Each patient is matched with a local family who attends to his welfare, and invites him for meals on a regular basis. Most of these volunteer families are those of our staff members whose personal commitment to the patients greatly surpass professional standards.
